St Edward's Crown was made for the coronation of Charles II in 1661, replacing the medieval crown destroyed after the Civil War, and it has crowned British sovereigns ever since — most recently King Charles III on 6 May 2023. Our ornament captures its jewelled arches, ermine band and cross in rich colour against gleaming gold plate, so it catches the light from every branch of the tree.
